Menopause and Homeopathy treatment

Menopause & Homeopathy

Menopause is a period in which the body stops producing the reproductive hormones, estrogen and progesterone, from the ovaries, and menstruation becomes less frequent. It occurs in women over 40-50 years of age.

Homeopathy is one of the most popular holistic treatment systems.

The choice of treatment is based on the theory of individualization and similarity of symptoms using a holistic approach. The aim is to restore a state of complete health by removing all the signs and symptoms from which the patient suffers.

The goal of homeopathy is not only to treat the symptoms of menopause but also to address individual sensitivity. In terms of treatment, there are several well-proven treatments for menopause symptoms that can be selected based on the cause, condition, sensation and ways of presenting the symptoms.

For a personalized treatment choice, the patient should consult a specialized homeopath in person.

1. Irregular Menstruation

A change in the menstrual cycle is the major sign of the process. Periods may be shorter, they may be longer. Women may experience either scanty menstruation or heavy bleeding.

2. Hot flashes

Hot flashes are one of the most common symptoms of menopause, sudden intense waves of heat and sweating, mainly in the face, neck and chest.

3. Sudden mood swings

Sudden mood swings are not necessarily related to events in a woman's life. They can be intense and she may suddenly feel sad or angry.

4. Decreased libido

Menopause often affects libido, the desire for sex. This can be the result of decreased testosterone and estrogen levels, which can make it more difficult to become aroused.

5. Vaginal dryness

As female hormones ensure good blood circulation around the vagina, their lack can reduce blood flow and natural lubrication of the area, causing dryness, which can make sexual intercourse unpleasant.

6. Headaches

Women entering menopause experience headaches and migraines more frequently as a result of decreased estrogen.

7. Concentration and memory problems

The decrease in estrogen sometimes creates (blurryness), absent-mindedness, difficulty concentrating. Sleep problems can be a determining factor.

8. Weight gain

The decrease in estrogen can lead to weight gain. Often, sudden mood swings lead to adverse changes in a woman's eating habits.

9. Other symptoms

may include: Sleep disturbances, thinning hair, brittle nails, joint pain, skin, hair loss, breast tenderness, fatigue, involuntary urine leakage, osteoporosis, vaginal or urinary tract infections, etc.

10. Nutrition

Nutrition plays a prominent role in maintaining the health of all people. In the case of menopause, it can be a real ally in dealing with annoying symptoms, as it plays an important role in regulating hormones. A diet rich in vegetables, fruits, cereal grains, legumes and nuts contributes in various ways, as these are foods with phytosterols, which have hormone-regulating properties.

11. Hydration

Drink plenty of water. Dryness and bloating are common problems during menopause. Drinking plenty of water (at least 8 glasses a day) can help. Try drinking 2 glasses of water (500 ml) half an hour before each main meal. This will stimulate the feeling of hunger and make you eat less, and it may also increase your metabolism a little. This is likely to improve your body weight.

12. Exercise

Exercise is perhaps the most important step to smooth out this special period in a woman's life. Exercise regularly. Do resistance exercises (e.g. weights, brisk walking, dancing) at least 3 times a week to keep your bones strong. Regular exercise also improves sleep and combats stress, moodiness, and menopausal fatigue. It will also help you avoid weight gain.

13. Meditation

Meditation is beneficial for both the body and the mind, and will help you regain your inner peace. It clears the mind of negative thoughts, helps you connect with your emotions, and with more and more practice, the process becomes almost automatic. By dedicating just 15 minutes a day to meditation, you will have more energy, relax your nervous system, and reduce stress.

14. Creative Activities

Some women find it helpful to channel their strong emotions into a productive outlet. Activities like painting, writing, gardening, and even home decorating can give them the space to process their emotions in a positive way.

What is good to keep in mind is that menopause is not a disease, but simply a natural phenomenon.
